Girl who died in CdA watercraft accident identified

A girl who died on Saturday from injuries suffered in an accident on a personal watercraft was identified today as Alicia Edgell, 14, of Coeur d’Alene. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office reported that Edgell was riding near the Third Street docks in Coeur d’Alene when she swerved suddenly and was thrown from the craft. Deputies said she struck another vessel, suffering head and internal injuries. The two vessels did not collide, and no citations were issued in the accident.
