Three hurt in crash on Highway 2
Three people were injured Monday in a near-head-on collision on U.S. Highway 2 north of Spokane.
Marguerite M. Sheets, 83, of Mead, was northbound in a 2008 Toyota Camry near Lane Park Road when she attempted to turn left across the highway, the Washington State Patrol reported.
The Toyota collided with a southbound 1982 Ford pickup driven by Myron G. Mumau, 31, of Valleyford. Mumau and one of his passengers, William E. Peterson, 40, sustained minor injuries. A 15-year-old boy in the truck was not injured.
Sheets was taken by ambulance to Holy Family Hospital. She was cited for failure to yield the right of way, the WSP said.
