Killer’s boyfriend due in Spokane next week

Brian Moore (Anaheim Police Department)
The married boyfriend of convicted killer Shellye Stark, accused of helping her devise a plan to kill her husband, is due in Spokane next week. Spokane police will travel to Orange County, Calif., Monday to get Brian L. Moore after he recently waived extradition, police said today. Moore, 43, has been in jail there since his arrest April 27 for first-degree murder and first-degree conspiracy to commit murder in the Dec. 9, 2007, shooting of Dale Robert Stark in his Spokane home. A jury rejected Shellye Stark’s self-defense claims in March, and she’s serving a 50-year sentence at a women’s prison in Gig Harbor. Stark’s lawyer, Julie Twyford, said Moore will likely use a public defender.
