Police: CdA robberies connected; photos released

Additional photos have been released of a man police believe is responsible for a robbery and attempted robbery in Coeur d’Alene Tuesday evening.

The photos are from the Shell station at 508 Northwest Blvd., which was robbed about 7:20 p.m. after a man paid for an item, then grabbed cash from the register and rode east on Garden Avenue on a white BMX-style bicycle, police said.

An hour and 10 minutes earlier, a man matching that same description had walked into the Zip’s Stop at Seventh Street and Sherman Avenue and started to put on a face mask, but left without taking anything after a clerk and a customer ran to the store office, police said.

The man may have had a gun, a witness told police.

The man is described as white, 18 to 20 years old, 6 feet tall with a slender build, a large nose, deep-set eyes and possibly short blond hair.

He was wearing a black zip-up hoodie with a light-colored design on the zipper, long black shorts, a long white T-shirt with a design in the left breast area, black skater shoes and no socks.

Anybody with information is asked to call (208) 769-2320.
