Bank robbery reported in Spokane Valley

Spokane Valley Police are investigating the robbery of the Banner Bank branch located at 1521 N. Argonne Road. At 4:45 p.m. today, a white male entered the bank and told a teller that it was a robbery. He repeated himself several times, but no weapon was displayed, according to a police news release. Afterward, the suspect left the bank southbound on Argonne Road on foot. The suspect was initially described as a white male in his 50s wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, a baseball cap and sunglasses. The hood of the sweatshirt was down. The suspect was about 5-feet-8 and 150 pounds. It is not known what was taken. No one was injured during the incident, police said. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
