Event focuses on preventing ID theft

The Sullivan Park Campus of Care, 421 S. Adams Road, and United Data Security will host a community document shredding day next Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Sullivan Park.

United Data Security will also have two free, informative workshops to provide information and answer questions on how to keep information safe and what to do if an identity is stolen.

From 10 to 11 a.m., Terry Canfield, identity theft risk management specialist, will speak on how to protect against identity theft.” Nicole Burgess, the business development director with Numerica Credit Union, will present an identity theft workshop from 2-3 p.m.

Donations for the Spokane Valley Meals on Wheels program are being requested at the event. All donations will support the Meals on Wheels program.
