Northview Bible welcomes pastor

Northview Bible Church, 13521 N. Mill Road, will welcome new pastor Norman Schwab Sunday during its services at 8:30 and 11 a.m.

Schwab comes to the church from Yacolt Evangelical Free Church in Yacolt, Wash. He has more than 15 years of ministry experience and holds a master’s degree in pastoral leadership.

Vacation Bible school

Summit Ridge Christian Fellowship will offer its vacation Bible school, “Rescue Me,” Tuesday through June 26 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The school will be at the South Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5607 S. Freya St.

Shiloh Hills Fellowship, 207 E. Lincoln Road, will hold its vacation Bible school Monday through June 26 from 9 to 11:45 a.m.

Children in kindergarten through the sixth grade are invited to meet the “Wise Lord of Awz” and participate in games, crafts, eat snacks, receive T-shirts and gifts and more.

Conferences, retreats

•The Inland Empire Catholic Charismatic Renewal will hold its 2009 conference Friday and Saturday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 3520 E. 18th Ave.

The theme this year is “Praise the Lord at All Times,” and the main speaker will be the Rev. Dan Wetzler of Coeur d’Alene.

St. Joseph’s Parish, 1503 W. Dean Ave., will present a discussion with a group of apple growers regarding the root causes of immigration and ways to keep families together to save lives Friday at 6:30 p.m.
