Event: ‘Vienna – Music From the Palaces of the Austro-Hungarian Empire’

What: Allegro, Baroque & Beyond begins its 24th season – titled “A Musical Tour of the Capitals of Europe” – with an Austria-themed Music in Historic Homes program at the E.J. Roberts Mansion in Browne’s Addition. A small chamber ensemble of musicians led by Artistic Director David Dutton will play works typically heard at palaces in Vienna, including the slow movement from Haydn’s “Surprise Symphony.” Other Historic Homes concerts this season will focus on the Iberian Peninsula (December) and Germany (April).

When: Tuesday and Wednesday at 3, 4:30, 6 and 7:30 p.m. each day; each 40-minute concert is followed by a home tour and refreshments.
