Bashing and backlashing

The Spokesman-Review

I particularly like The Spokesman-Review online feature where you can read past letters written by contributors to the section “Letters to the Editor.” On June 11 Charles Bowman’s letter about Obama bashing appeared online (June 13 in print).

So I would like to quote a few phrases from Mr. Bowman’s previous submissions: “better and smarter decisions than the imbecile (Bush) we’ve had running our country for the last eight years”; “I had always said that the country had changed a flat tire (Bush) with a flatter tire (Bush)”; “I am sick of you Republi-can’ts”; “you right-wing extremists”; “war-loving Republicans.”

I guess the old bashing was more acceptable than the new bashing. The phrase “he who lives in glass houses should not throw stones” seems appropriate. Pot, meet kettle.
