Small business in danger

The Spokesman-Review

Based on some of the wrangling in government about a proposal that all businesses carry medical coverage, this will result in just about every small business employing fewer than 25 people going out of business.

As a former small-business owner that paid above minimum wage to three employees, this additional cost would have put me out of business faster than the economic downturn did. Any of the proposals currently in vogue will wind up costing the American working class more than they ever will receive in coverage or care.

Yes, insurance is costly, but that’s why it’s called insurance coverage, not guaranteed coverage. Guaranteed coverage is not part of the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. Let’s keep it that way, or we all will suffer the results.
