Agilent Technologies selling plant, grounds
70-acre Liberty Lake campus on the market for $10.5 million
Agilent Technologies has put its Liberty Lake plant and surrounding campus up for sale with an asking price of $10.5 million.
Kiemle & Hagood Co. broker Mike Livingston said attempts over the past two years to lease part or all of the 250,000-square-foot building have been unsuccessful, although that remains an option.
Agilent has steadily reduced the number of employees at the plant, which has parking for more than 1,000 vehicles. By October, only 100 employees are expected to remain at the site.
The plant, built by Agilent predecessor Hewlett-Packard Co. in 1979, is surrounded by a 70-acre campus that includes a tennis court, amphitheater and walking trails.
Furniture outlet leases storage
Spokane office furniture retailer Interior Solutions has leased 7,000 square feet for storage in Spokane Valley.
The Spokane company needed storage space after its north Spokane warehouse suffered a roof collapse during heavy snows in early January.
Interior Solutions found its solution in a warehouse at 6021 E. Mansfield owned by Spokane-based sports equipment retailer Mountain Gear. Mountain Gear President Paul Fish said he has another 30,000 square feet of space in the building also available.
That extra space has earned LEED certification – indicating it has a “green building” status – Fish added.
Restaurant closes for renovation
The 360 Restaurant and Cavallino Lounge, 5 S. Wall, inside the downtown Spokane Hotel Lusso, closed last week for renovation, a spokesman for the Davenport Hotel announced.
Both are scheduled to reopen later this summer, said Matt Jensen, marketing director for the Davenport Hotel, which bought the Lusso recently.
Martial arts school moves
Paradigm Martial Arts, which has been operating out of a residence on Fifth Avenue in the East Central neighborhood, will relocate to 1510 N. Argonne, Suite B, owner Allen Gast said.
Gast has signed a two-year lease on 1,150 square feet inside a building formerly used by fast-food restaurant Chile Headz.
The school will open in September.
