Moscow police treat fatal fire as homicide

The Moscow-Pullman Daily News
Police in Moscow say they are treating the death of a woman killed in a house fire as a homicide. Authorities identified the victim Thursday as 28-year-old Sarah J. Parks, who was pregnant when her body was found by firefighters in a charred lower unit of a Moscow duplex Wednesday morning. Lt. Paul Kwiatkowski says it appears Parker was dead before the fire started. An autopsy is trying to determine the cause of her death. Parker is a former teacher at the Moscow Charter School. The state fire marshal is also trying to determine the cause and origin of the blaze.
