Girl with head stuck between pillars rescued during Hoopfest

KHQ.com
A girl got herself in a sticky situation Sunday afternoon at Hoopfest when she tried to squeeze between two concrete pillars in front of Sterling Savings Bank at Wall Street and Riverside Avenue. Firefighters, police and her family tried to shimmy the girl out for about 15 minutes. Initially, nothing worked, but once rescuers put petroleum jelly all over the girl’s head they were able to squeeze her out. Hundreds of people witnessed the event. The girl did not appear to be hurt once she was freed from the pillars, just a little shaken up.
