Stand up against spending
I just want to say thank you to the Republicans, including our Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, for standing firm against the stimulus bill. It is bad legislation and it is unfortunate that our two senators didn’t see it that way.
I have written to both of them and told them that it is like saying you “need” to buy a car and go to the dealer and tell them that you want to buy a $25,000 car and the dealer adds $10,000 of extras on the car that you don’t need or want and then you pay the $35,000 for it because you “need” it.
It is crazy what is going on in Washington, D.C. Keep the faith, Republicans, and remain on the side of the American taxpayer.

Oh brother.
I know for a fact that in New Mexico, some of the allotted stimulus is going towards fixing the water systems. Same goes for California. The NM water system budget more than doubled, in fact. This means that some of the stimulus money is going towards fixing the US infrastructure, which has been in shambles and ranked one of the worst amongst first world countries. Singapore has infrastructure and a transit system that is just out of this world! We should be ashamed and embarrassed by ours and it’s about time it was updated.
The stimulus is also mere pennies compared to the cost of the Iraq war. Where were the Republicans to object that type of spending? Why is it okay to spend trillions in another country to get nothing out of it and yet wrong to invest a few billion in our country to make the lives of our citizens better?
Think about it and research it first before you blindly follow what your partisan politics say.
