New proposal for huge marina on Lake CDA

Coeur d'Alene Press
A proposal for a huge marina on Blackwell Island on Lake Coeur d’Alene is alive again. Hagadone Hospitality is once again pushing a plan to replace the existing Blackwell Island Marina. The company has submitted applications to the state Department of Lands and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, saying the new plan is much more protective of water quality than a 2005 proposal. Plans for the new marina include expanding the number of boat slips from 339 to 405, widening lanes to better accommodate traffic, and installing a boat house for the Sheriff’s Department to use.
