Ramirez provokes thought

The Spokesman-Review

Re: “Better cartoonist needed,” Letters, Feb. 27:

Mr. (Michael) Ramirez is a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner. He is internationally recognized and, in addition to the Pulitzers (’94, ’98), he has won almost every major journalism award including the Sigma Delta Chi Award (’95, ’97, ’07), the National Journalism Award in 2006 and the H.L. Mencken Award for Best Cartoon in 1996.

He is a highly acclaimed international speaker. He is syndicated nationally and in over 450 newspapers around the world.

Some of his cartoons may make you laugh. Some will make you cringe. But all of them will make you think! Our family wants to thank The Spokesman-Review for bringing us the very best in cartoons. Keep up the good work.
