Bill would hurt sportsmen
An act relating to the governance of the Department of Fish and Wildlife, Senate Bill 5127, would restructure the present Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission, reduce the present nine-member board to seven members and shift many of their powers to the Department of Fish and Wildlife and the governor, who would have the power to hire and fire the state director of Fish and Wildlife.
If this bill should become law, Washington’s sportsmen will again be at the mercy of unscrupulous bureaucrats and politicians on managing our fish and wildlife resources.
