Mt. Hood ends Spokane’s season

KENNEWICK – Jeremy Jones had 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting and the Mt. Hood Saints ended the season of the Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch with an 88-80 Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges men’s basketball tournament victory Saturday afternoon.

Jamar Johnson added 21 points and Earl Jones had 18 points and nine assists for Mt. Hood (22-7), which will play Whatcom for fifth place today.

Derek Gianukakis had 18 points for CC Spokane (20-8). Griffon Jones had 16 points and eight rebounds, Zach Humphrey scored 13 and Brendan Ingebritsen 11.

Mt. Hood led by as many as 23 points before the Sasquatch battled back to within seven with just less than a minute to play.
