Homeless warming centers will open at 8 tonight in three Spokane locations due to extreme weather.
The House of Charity, 32 W. Pacific Ave., will be open for single adult men. Families with children and couples without children can stay at the Salvation Army, 204 E. Indiana Ave.; and youth can go to Crosswalk, 525 W. Second Ave.
The shelters will remain open until 7 a.m., officials said.
The warming centers are not equipped for lodging, said Jerrie Allard, city of Spokane’s Human Services Director. The shelters are used when temperatures are below 15 degrees and homeless shelters are full.
