Sen. Pam Roach voted for a bill intended to prevent concussions in youth sports; voting no was Sen. Bob Morton, R-Kettle Falls. Because of a reporter’s error, the vote was listed incorrectly in a story published Wednesday.

Kalispel building on original 40

The Kalispel Tribe is expanding Northern Quest Casino on the original 40 acres it purchased in 1994 in Airway Heights. Because of a reporter’s error, the location of the $275 million expansion on land owned by the tribe was incorrect in a story Wednesday.

updated  Drenched in sunshine and a sharp spring wind, more than 70 students marched Friday out of Freeman High School behind a “Freeman Strong” banner to the same football field where they sheltered in fear last September following the shooting that killed 15-year-old Sam Strahan and injured three girls.
