Get creative on police needs

The Spokesman-Review

I know that there are many needs for our police and sheriff’s department. Instead of having to build a new facility for storage of evidence, why can’t they utilize a building that is empty? There are plenty of grocery stores (Albertson’s, Safeway, Tidyman’s etc.) sitting empty. These buildings have walk-in coolers, freezers etc. Why do we have to continue spending millions instead of using what’s available?
