Stimulus passing some by

The Spokesman-Review

We all know when we read the papers and watch the news about all the stimulus packages that help is on the way to many irresponsible individuals, businesses and industries. This is all well and good (I guess), but what about the millions of individuals who played the game of life by the rules – worked hard, planned retirements and saved for their golden years?

They are now seeing their retirements decimated by many of the people and industries that are now being helped with the stimulus packages. As they look at their 401(k)s and other investments becoming almost worthless, what about them, Mr. Obama?

It’s all well and good to say the market will come back and everything will be great in just a few years. But when you’re in your mid-60s and beyond, you don’t have a hell of a long time to wait.

So, Mr. Obama, where is our stimulus package? It had better come soon as many of us are desperate now. I’m waiting.
