Auditions

“A Funny Thing Happened” – Spokane Civic Theatre, Sunday, 6 p.m., and Monday, 6:30 p.m., Firth J. Chew Studio Theatre, 1020 N. Howard St. Needed: 10-12 men and 10-12 women. Auditioners will be expected to perform a verse and a chorus from a contemporary musical in addition to cold readings from the script, and should bring their own sheet music (accompanist provided). Artist’s Tree Gallery Classes Introduction to Abstract Painting – Thursday-Friday, 6-9 p.m. For beginners and advanced painters alike. Cost is $35 for both classes, supplies are included. Three Dimensional Painting – Saturday1-5 p.m., offers painting techniques from a professional artist. Cost is $55, all materials are included. Painting Technique with Bill Edge – Tuesday, 6-9 p.m., for beginners and advanced students. Cost is $30, supplies are included. Creating Jewelry and Adornments – meets every Wednesday, 6-9 p.m., to create wearable art jewelry and accessories. Cost is $25. Bead Play – March 28, 1-6 p.m., offers a step-by-step approach and practical techniques to creating wearable art jewelry, for beginners or experienced beaders. Cost is $50, supplies are included. Christian Youth Theater - Spokane – Theatre art training classes for children ages 6-18 begin Monday. Each class runs one day a week for 10 weeks and culminates with a showcase for friends and family. Cost is $150. Classes are held at Northview Bible Church, 13521 N. Mill Road, or at Christian Youth Theatre, 6205 E. Mansfield Ave., Spokane Valley. Students ages 8-18 are eligible to audition for “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” on March 27.
