Showers, milder temperatures and breezy conditions will hold sway over the region for the next several days, and temperatures could rise to the 50 degree mark for the first time since Nov. 18.

A high of 49 is expected in Spokane today, but the milder March weather could push the high to 54 on Friday. The weather cools back into the upper 40s over the weekend.

Forecasters are calling for a series of weather systems to bring showery periods today through Sunday. A weather system on Saturday ushers in the chance that snow could mix with the rain Saturday and Sunday.

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for thunderstorms Friday in Shoshone County and the eastern portions of Kootenai, Benewah and Latah counties in North Idaho.
