“Dine Out to Feed Spokane” - The Greater Spokane Dietetic Association will present this community-wide fundraiser to benefit Feed Spokane in celebration of National Nutrition Month. Participating Spokane area restaurants and dates include: Wednesday, Cuppa Joe’s Cafe, Le Cafe at Sacred Heart Medical Center (soup sales); Thursday, Ferrante’s Marketplace Cafe; March 29, Hill’s Restaurant; March 30, Hay J’s Bistro; March 22 and 29, Natural Start Bakery, Percy’s Cafe American ($1 donation per breakfast order). 53rd Annual Armed Forces Persons of the Year Luncheon - This is our community’s opportunity to honor and thank those men and women who are serving in the military to protect our freedoms. Keynote speaker is Bonnie J. Dunbar, currently president and CEO of The Museum of Flight in Seattle. Dunbar recently retired from the NASA Johnson Space Center where she was associate director, Technology Integration and Risk Management for the Space Life Sciences Directorate of the NASA Johnson Space Center. Spokane River Run-Trail Run - Spokane River Run is a 5k, 10k, 25k and 50K trail run with all four distances primarily ran on single-track trail. All distances are full loops (no laps). The course winds through thick pine forests set against basalt cliffs and ends with a tight twisty single-track next to the roaring Spokane River.
