Another cool winter-like morning is giving way to below-normal temperatures in the mid-40s under bright sun as the Inland Northwest gets a break in the parade of storms moving through the area.
A high of 45 is expected in Spokane today after dropping to 27 degrees at sunrise this morning at Spokane International Airport.
Warmer weather is expected on Friday with a morning low of 29 and a high of 50. Wet weather returns to the forecast on Friday evening with sprinkles at first and then turning to rain on Saturday.
Coeur d’Alene should see 43 today and 26 overnight before climbing to 49 on Friday.
Normal temperatures for today in Spokane are 51 for a high and 32 for a low.
So far in March, Spokane has seen 2.1 inches of precipitation compared with an average of 1.25 inches through Wednesday, making March an unusually wet month.
