Spokane woman jailed after 3 DUIs in 3 days

Jo A. Trilling (Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department )
Staff and wire reports
A Spokane woman is spending a month in a Wisconsin jail after being arrested for drunken driving three times in three days last year. Jo A. Trilling, 60, was first arrested March 11, 2008, after a Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department deputy said he’d watched her drive out of a ditch near a state park entrance. A day later, she was arrested after her car got stuck in snow in the same park. She told an officer she was “finishing up the box of wine in my car from yesterday,” according to police. After 12 hours in jail, Trilling was released and arrested a short time later in neighboring Dane County. She was sentenced last week to 30 days in jail and fined more than $3,000. Spokane County court records list Trilling’s only offense to be a speeding ticket.
