Animal shelters seeking foster help

Homeless dogs at Panhandle Animal Shelter, 870 Kootenai Cut-Off Road in Ponderay, and other animal shelters in the Sandpoint/Ponderay area are in need of foster homes.

Shelter and space is no longer available and the homeless dogs are being turned away because there is nowhere else for them to go.

Panhandle is urging the community to open their homes to their vaccinated, spayed/neutered dogs, while the space and care is used for other needy dogs, to prepare them for adoption.

For information to be a foster home for the dogs at Panhandle Animal Shelter or for more information call (208) 265-7297 or e-mail mlrentfro@hotmail.com.
