South Hill pharmacy robbed

The pharmacy located inside the Albertsons grocery store at 510 E. 37th Ave., on Spokane’s South Hill, was robbed this morning. The suspect reportedly showed a handgun to pharmacy personnel during the incident, which happened at about 10 a.m. He robbed the pharmacy of an unknown quantity of painkillers, including OxyContin, according to Spokane police. Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, age 50 to 60 years old. He is about 6 feet tall, has a medium build, and was unshaven, sporting a gray beard. He was reportedly wearing a light-colored baseball cap and a gray sweatshirt with an unknown logo on the chest. He used a purple scarf to shield his face, police said.
