Roads closed after man jumps off I-90 bridge in CdA

A man has died this afternoon after jumping from Veterans Memorial Bridge on Interstate 90 east of Coeur d’Alene. Witnesses contacted police after seeing the man jump about 12:20 p.m. Police have closed the roadway at Sunnyside Road and Mullan. The lane closed on I-90 has reopened, said Kootenai County Sheriff’s Capt. Ben Wolfinger. The man’s body was found about 300 feet below the bridge on Sunnyside Road, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department.
