Spirited to perform at Good Shepherd

Film writer and author Jonathan Richard Cring will be in Spokane Valley this week to present a program of music, monologue and singing with business partner and orchestra conductor Janet Clazzy.

The duo, using the name Spirited, will perform at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 810 S. Sullivan Road, at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Cring has written several screenplays and books and frequently travels the country speaking at churches. Admission is free. Call the church at (509) 926-8611 for more information.

Men’s choral concert

East Valley Baptist Church, 14516 E. Wellesley Ave., will host a performance by California Baptist University’s Male Chorale at 7 p.m. Monday. The 80-member choir will also perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Dishman Baptist Church, 315 N. Argonne Road.

‘Who’s Got Talent’

The Mirabeau Chapel will host its own version of the “America’s Got Talent” television show with a “Who’s Got Talent” audition next Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at the church, 3001 N. Pines. The cost of the audition is $10, with proceeds benefiting the church’s Romania Missions Team.

Those judged to have talent will advance to a dinner/show on May 30 and will be eligible to win at $300 Visa gift card. For more information, call the church at (509) 928-7600.

Pancake wash

The youth of Opportunity Presbyterian Church will host their annual pancake wash fundraiser next Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. The event includes an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast with a chance to get your car washed while you eat. The cost is $5 and proceeds will be used to support youth mission trips.

The church is at 202 N. Pines Road.
