The Spokesman-Review
A boy hit by a pickup in Spokane Valley this morning was walking and talking after the accident, according to police on scene. The boy was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment, according to Spokane fire dispatchers. The accident occurred about 8 a.m. when a Dodge Ram pickup driver and boy were leaving a stop sign on Sinto Avenue to cross Argonne Road, Spokane Valley police say. The two were going in the same direction before the young bicyclist was hit by the truck. The driver, a man in his 20s, was not cited for any violation, police said.
