L-C State eliminated

LEWISTON – For the first time in four years, there will be a new champion crowned at the NAIA Baseball World Series.

Three-time defending champion and host Lewis-Clark State (40-15) was eliminated on Monday by Southern Polytechnic State of Georgia (53-9) 9-6.

Lee, Tenn., ousted Fresno Pacific of California 5-4.

Lubbock Christian of Texas beat Berry, Ga., 11-5 in one winner’s bracket game. Point Loma, Calif., Nazarene beat Oklahoma City University 8-3 in the other.

Unbeatens Lubbock and Point Loma play tonight after loser-out games featuring Southern, Lee, Berry and Oklahoma City.
