Passing offense: D-

Even when Tuel had time to throw, he got hit. The only positives were 2 TD passes.

Rushing offense: C-

At times the quick hitters worked, but not often enough.

Passing defense: D+

The plan was to keep the Irish receivers in front. It worked for all but two plays.

Rushing defense: D

Almost all of the 255 Notre Dame rushing yards came right up the middle.

Special teams: B

Other than not putting a score on the board, they did everything anyone could ask.

Coaching: C

The plans were sound, but Notre Dame was just that much better.
