Moses Lake plant workers fought fire
An industrial fire at a silicon plant two miles east of Moses Lake was extinguished this morning by a fire brigade at the plant.
The fire broke out at REC Silicon, which produces silicon for solar wafers and panels, according to Kyle Foreman, public information officer for the Grant County emergency management department.
The Moses Lake Fire Department provided additional air tanks.
No injuries were reported, and surrounding residences were not threatened.
