Pac-10 picks

We’re on a long winning streak, which, along with $1.89, will get you a large Diet Coke at McDonald’s – with or without ice.

My guess is this week we’ll somehow be putting the aforementioned winning streak on ice, and that’s despite mostly going with stone-cold locks.

As always, the listed line is for your entertainment purposes only.

Oregon at Stanford (Oregon by 61/2): What is your preference, speed or brawn? Mine is speed, mostly because I don’t have any. But the Ducks sure do. Oregon 35-17.

Washington at UCLA (UCLA by 4): It’s kind of surprising there’s a line at all, considering the unsettled nature of Jake Locker’s status. If he plays, UW should upset the Bruins. If he doesn’t, probably not. UCLA 17-14.

Oregon State at California (Cal by 71/2): You could call them the up-and-down Beavers. But then you could attach the same nickname to the Bears. Who will be up this week? OSU 35-33.

USC at Arizona State (USC by 10): ASU has a great run defense that’s getting a lot of ink. So did the Trojans before they went to Eugene. Think USC wants to get the swagger back? Me too. USC 35-10.

Washington State at Arizona (UA by 331/2): Another long road trip. Another long day. At least it’s the last of the former. Arizona 42-17.

Last week: 4-0 overall, 2-2 vs. spread. Season: 38-16 overall, 22-26 vs. spread.
