Rihanna airs her regrets

Rihanna says she regrets going back to ex-boyfriend Chris Brown after he assaulted her in February, warning other women facing domestic violence to not let themselves become blinded by love.

“It’s completely normal to go back. You start lying to yourself,” the 21-year-old singer said Thursday on “Good Morning America” in her first TV interview since the incident.

“I’ll say that to any young girl who is going through domestic violence: ‘Don’t react off of love.’ ”

Brown, 20, was accused of beating Rihanna after the couple attended a pre-Grammy Awards party. He later pleaded guilty to felony assault.

“That’s embarrassing – that’s the type of person I fell in love with,” she said. “So far in love, so unconditional, that I went back. That’s not what I want to teach people.”

More of the interview will air on today’s “Good Morning America” and tonight’s “20/20.”

Kind of, basically a jerk?

Meanwhile, in an interview set to air today on MTV, Chris Brown says he’s “confused” about how the public perceives him since he attacked Rihanna.

He says that he thinks his fans “love me and support me,” but he acknowledges there are people “that don’t want to see me do anything … they wanna see me kind of, basically in jail.”

Bye-bye, BeBe

Oprah Winfrey says she’s keeping singer BeBe Winans off her show until domestic violence charges against him are resolved.

Winfrey has been accused of a double standard for including Winans in her “karaoke challenge” after taking a strong stand against domestic violence following the Chris Brown-Rihanna case.
