Man sought in police killing in serious condition
SEATTLE (AP) — A man sought by police in the Halloween killing of a Seattle police officer is in serious condition after being shot by detectives investigating the case.
Harborview Medical Center spokeswoman Susan Gregg-Hanson says Saturday morning the man in is an intensive care unit following surgery Friday night. He arrived at the hospital in critical condition.
Seattle detectives were pursuing a tip in the case Friday at an apartment complex in the south Seattle suburb of Tukwila. Police say the suspect fled when approached by detectives outside the building, but was quickly boxed in. Three detectives opened fire when the man drew a handgun.
Seattle police Officer Timothy Brenton was shot and killed as he sat in a car after a traffic stop on Oct. 31.

Pay a bonus to the shooter for saving the taxpayers the trial & prison bill.

SniperCraig: That simply does not make any sense. Saving money??? How do you figure? Someone who is shot and arrested is not responsible for paying their medical bills, the police are or the jail is! Medical care is mandated by the eighth amendment. A few days in the ICU will add up to a lot of money. He is also still alive (hence the serious condition) so he will likely have a trial! Think about it, money was not saved here, not even a little bit!
About the article: I hope the police are confident they got the right guy. At the very least they got a bad guy (who pulls a gun on police officers anyway?). Hopefully this will begin a series of closures for the family and the department involved! My best wishes to all involved.

PonyRyan:
What SniperCraig is saying is that if the Cops kill the guy, then we don't have to foot the cost of a 500,000 trial + paying $1,000 a month to house/feed him while he is in prison for the rest of his life.

jefco: Tell me where you can house prisoners for a grand a month. Kootnei County could use your immeasurable skills.
kmac: The cop killer probably had a reason, just one you might not agree with.

sniper craig must be a cop who can't read, or at least comprehend what is written. I guess he didn't notice the part of surviving the shooting and hospitalization. It must be sheer hell having to recall details for police reports, so just make it up as you go along, eh?

Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
I guess Sniper Craig wants to be judge and jury.
I think Sniper Craig did it and posted stupid babblings on here to draw the cops away from the REAL killer.

spoketucky? You have to be kidding me right? The guy must have had a good reason for killing a cop? You are a moron for making statements like that. Which is why you will most likely end up in said jail cells with stupidity like that. Do us all a favor and just kill yourself now.
