Vandals sharp in exhibition

 

Idaho shot 55 percent from the floor and had four players in double figures to beat Saint Martin’s 81-67 in a men’s exhibition game in Moscow.

Steffan Johnson scored 14, while Kyle Barone snagged nine rebounds to go with nine points for the Vandals. Blake Poole led Saint Martin’s with 15 points and 15 boards.

Women

Kana Griffitts hit 6 of 8 from beyond the 3-point line, finishing with a game-high 28 points to lead North Idaho (1-0) to an 80-64 win over Sheridan at the Sheridan College Holiday Inn Tournament in Sheridan, Wyo.

•Six Gonzaga players finished in double figures, led by 18 points from Courtney Vandersloot, as the Bulldogs beat Warner Pacific 100-42 in an exhibition game at McCarthey Athletic Center.

•Rachele Kloke scored 11 points and Shaena Kueh added nine points and seven rebounds as Idaho won its final exhibition game, 61-43 over Eastern Oregon in Moscow.
