Collision with logging truck kills one

A 25-year-old Colville man died this morning when he lost control of his 1992 Toyota pickup and slammed into an oncoming logging truck north of Deer Park. Jesse L. Crayne was southbound on Highway 395 when he struck a 2002 Kenworth logging truck driving northbound at 5:40 a.m., according to Washington State Patrol. The truck’s driver, Ian M. Darnielle, 28, of Colville, was not injured. The collision destroyed both vehicles and blocked the road for more than four hours. Crayne was speeding, according to WSP.
