The Spokesman-Review
The inmate found dead Wednesday at the Spokane County Jail was Fredrick James Juhnke, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. Corrections officers serving dinner knocked on Juhnke’s cell door about 5 p.m., then found him dead inside after no response, Sgt. Dave Reagan said. The 59-year-old appeared to have died from natural causes, Reagan said. Juhnke had no significant medical history and was being held in an area known as the general population. He was booked into jail on Oct. 18 on one count of second-degree assault and a Clark County warrant for two counts of second-degree assault.
