Searchers have located a 66-year-old hunter in the Potlatch area of North Idaho, after the man spent the night out in the cold.
Charles Moody was found shortly before noon today, according to the Latah County Sheriff’s Department.
Moody became separated from his party about 4 p.m. Thursday in a U.S. Forest Service area called Laird Park, east of Potlatch. The sheriff’s office started searching after being notified about 9 p.m.
Helicopters from Fairchild Air Force Base and the U.S. Border Patrol joined the search, along with about 30 members of the sheriff’s office search and rescue team.
