The Spokesman-Review

Have you ever noticed that Democrats always demand their rights and then expect someone else to pay for it? Take health care, for instance.

The small minority of people who are not covered, mostly by choice, now demand everyone else pay for their public insurance. Of course, the Democratic Party jumps on this all-out as they know it will force everyone onto their government-controlled system, thus giving them power over all of us. Conservatives believe health care is a right also, but with that right comes self-responsibility to pay for it.

If we control as much of our lives as we can, then government does not have as much power over us. Most conservatives aren’t naive enough to believe politicians actually care about anyone but themselves. We simply don’t trust them and for good reason. Once they get their greedy hands into our lives, all they think about is regulation, which means them telling us what to do and then demanding we pay for it.

I sincerely hope the “rich” the Democrats are demanding pay for everything go on strike and for just one month shut down the economy completely. I’d like to see government react to that.
