North of Spokane and in North Idaho, the weather service predicts 1 to 3 inches of snow to fall tonight at levels 4,000 feet and above.

With colder temperatures moving in, precipitation Saturday night and Sunday could fall as snow north of Spokane and in North Idaho with 3 to 5 inches possible in the mountains and 1 to 3 inches possible in the valleys, according to the weather service.

Snow mixed with rain is expected in Spokane on Saturday evening, but no accumulation is predicted. In Coeur d’Alene, a half-inch of snow could stick on Saturday.

Highs on Saturday and Sunday in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene are expected to be in the lower 40s.
