New faces

Dr. Kevin Weeks has been hired by Cancer Care Northwest as a medical oncologist and hematologist. Weeks previously worked for Columbia Basin Hematology in Kennewick and has 15 years of medical experience. He completed his fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, and is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology.

Michael Peda has been hired as human resources manager for Pend Oreille Public Utility District. He holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Chapman University and has extensive human resources experience.

Buck and Affiliates Insurance West has hired Kim Johnson-Riggers as a licensed account executive. She previously worked as a certified professional representative for R. Fayant and Associates Allstate Insurance.

Michael Nail has been hired by Dougherty and Associates CPAs as manager of the tax department for its Post Falls CPA and financial planning firm. He previously worked as a tax supervisor and network administrator for Ripley Doorn and Co., PLLC in Nampa, Idaho. He has 12 years of related experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Idaho.

Heiskell MacGillivray and Associates has hired Kevin Sell as a certified public accountant. He previously worked for a regional accounting firm for 16 years. He has 25 years of public accounting experience and is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Business.

Kudos

Judge Kathleen O’Connor received the 2009 Distinguished Judicial Award from Gonzaga University’s School of Law for her service to the legal community. She graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1975 and is serving her fifth term in Spokane Superior Court.

Elected

The University of Idaho Foundation has elected Daniel Alsaker to serve a three-year term on its board of directors. He is the president of the Alsaker Corp.
