Chiefs blow lead, lose in OT
EVERETT, Wash. - Shane Harper had two goals and an assist, leading the Everett Silvertips to a 4-3 overtime victory over the Spokane Chiefs on Wednesday night in WHL action.
Tyler Maxwell scored the winning goal in overtime as Everett recovered from a 3-1 third-period deficit to move one point ahead of Spokane for third place in the U.S. Division.
Chris Langkow also scored and Kent Simpson made 34 saves in goal for Everett (15-7-1).
Tyler Johnson, Steve Kuhn and Stefan Ulmer scored for Spokane (14-8-2). James Reid stopped 38 shots for the Chiefs.
