Dump Stupak Amendment

The Spokesman-Review

I’m writing to express my concern about the Stupak Amendment to the health care reform bill. Health care reform will expand access to quality, affordable health care for millions of women, but does it have to come at the price of outlawing coverage for a legal, medical procedure for women? The issue of abortion should be left as a private decision between a woman and her doctor. The Stupak Amendment would be a major discriminatory shift in U.S. policy and it should not be in the bill.
