The Spokesman-Review
Free holiday horse and carriage rides for downtown shoppers begin Friday and continue through Christmas Eve. For the ninth year, shoppers can board the horse and carriage for free at the corner of Wall Street and Main Avenue on Fridays from 3-8 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m., and on Christmas Eve from noon to 3 p.m. Riders receive free candy canes and coupons for coffee and hot chocolate specials at participating downtown Spokane coffeehouses. Rides are given on a first-come, first-served basis. The holiday horse and carriage rides are sponsored by Spokane Teachers Credit Union, the Downtown Business Improvement District, and Downtown Spokane Partnership.
