Furlough for the birds

The Spokesman-Review

I just finished reading the article about the convicted drug dealer awaiting sentencing being granted a furlough for thanksgiving dinner with his family. He fails to show up 75 times and has a long history of crime. The officers that will be baby-sitting him on Thanksgiving would probably enjoy being with their families also. I don’t care if he is a model prisoner; he has proven that he is not a model citizen.
