His ‘Idol’ hands do devil’s play

Lambert
From Staff Reports

More than 1,500 people called ABC to complain about Adam Lambert’s sexually charged performance at the American Music Awards.

There were also hostile comments online about the “American Idol” glam rocker who sang his new song “For Your Entertainment” on Sunday’s show with an elaborate, S&M-themed production.

Lambert fondled a dancer, led another around on a leash, had a dancer briefly stick his head in Lambert’s crotch and kissed a man.

Before his performance, Lambert said that he wanted to break down a double standard that existed where female performers are often sexually provocative while men don’t do it that often.

No big house for Rich

On the celebrity legal beat, a Nashville judge has dismissed charges against country singer John Rich for allegedly punching an aspiring singer at a private nightclub in March 2008.

But an Ohio police chief was found guilty of three felonies connected with a break-in at the home of a woman who carried twins for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, allegedly to take items to sell to celebrity photographers.

Oprah to talk Teddy

Another interview coup for Oprah Winfrey: Vicki Kennedy, wife of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy.

In her first interview since her husband’s death, she will appear on Winfrey’s talk show today, along with her stepson, Ted Kennedy Jr., and two children from a previous marriage, Caroline and Curran.

Kennedy died in August at age 77, just weeks before the release of his memoir, “True Compass.”
